ReplyDeleteI just bought a tall wooden cabinet made of dark wood with painted white panels on each side at a flea market. It has an adorable handle and is full of shelves. My mom crocheted a little blue rug for me. I sewed a new duvet cover. I too have an antique mirror hanging on my wall.
There is so much joy in knowing that I own things- not really in a materialistic way, but mostly because I will always remember the day my roommate and I bought the cabinet from Kiki and filled it with our things in our tiny room... over the years, it may hold towels and quilts, or maybe dishes. Or baby clothes, or home school supplies. My kids will fight over it when I die.
